- Continuity: When Shane tells Chris that they are going surfing at the reef, to which Chris replies there's no moon. The moon is clearly visible in the surfing scene that follows.
- Revealing mistakes: When Nichole sleeps with Shane, he removes her red bra. The breasts are covered with white pads. Shortly after this, a white bra is visible on the actress as well.
- Crew or equipment visible: Camera is visible in the cop car that gets t-boned during the initiation chase.
- Continuity: When Nicole leaves the house in her trance her hair is straight. When she gets to Shane her hair is crimped.
- Continuity: In the scene where Angus Sutherland and Autumn Reeser leave the party to go for a motorcycle ride it's raining in the shots of them on the motorcycle, but the road is completely dry during all the point-of-view shots from the motorcycle.
- Continuity: When Nicole goes to meet the Shane at the nest, her hair is changed from ringlets to straight after they kiss.
- Continuity: When Chris goes surfing with the vampire gang for the first time, he mentions that it is night and there is no moon, so they wont be able to see anything. Cut to after he as drunk from the flask, and you see they are surfing under a full moon.

- Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: In the opening scene, David Van Etten is looking out at the surfers on his beach. Their reflections are visible in his glasses. As they are vampires, this should not be possible.
