Exceptional
I've seen a few shorts and TV commercials from back in the 60s and 70s that were done using the same sort of stop-motion technique, but this film outdoes them all and is simply amazing to watch. Paul Cummings and Tony Fiandaca wrote and co-directed this weird film AND even starred in it--what an accomplishment! Especially since it must have taken something like a bazillion pictures to piece it all together into this very artistic and clever film.
It begins with one guy writing a letter to an ex-friend--telling him that he hates him. Magically, the letter zips along the ground to the friends house and watching this process AND what happens to the letter immediately told me that this is no ordinary stop-motion film! What comes next is a long and very surreal fight sequence that just can't be described--you MUST see it for yourself.
Extremely well made from start to finish. The stop-motion was seamless, the music very appropriate and TONY VS. PAUL was a joy throughout.
