In a Disney earnings call on Tuesday evening, it was announced that ESPN had picked up a raft of sports broadcast and streaming rights in the U.S., including the next eight seasons of Spain’s top soccer competition Laliga.
With all matches to be made available live and on demand via ESPN Plus, several of the higher-profile games will also air across ESPN networks each season and be covered on established ESPN programs such as Sports Center and ESPN Fc, among others. ESPN Plus will also host complimentary programming including match previews and highlight shows.

Sam Raimi will remake two European horror flicks via his Ghost House Pictures. The first will be "Anguish," remade from the Spanish film of 1987 which was helmed and written by Bigas Luna. Tells of two girls who watch a horror film and end up living their own horror in real life which mimics the plot of the film. The other film is a remake of "Kollegiet" (a.k.a. "Room 205), a Danish horror of 2007 which was helmed by Martin Barnewitz and written by Jannik Tai Mosholt. Story focuses on a college freshman who, after he moves into a dorm, finds out that her room is haunted. Was part of the Ghost House Underground series of DVD releases. Sam Raimi and Rob Tabert will produce the film which will be well labeled as "The Dorm." Stephen Susco, writer of "The Grudge" and "The Grudge 2" will work the screenplay. ...

Some fantastic news this evening as Lionsgate Home Entertainment announced that they plan on releasing a whopping eight high quality horror films from Ghost House Underground on DVD October 14th. Arriving as individual releases and as a complete box set are: Greg Bishop's SXSW horror-comedy Dance Of The Dead, Lordi's Swedish pic Dark Floors, Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer's vampire pic Brotherhood Of Blood, Dave Payne's Reeker sequel No Man's Land: Rise Of The Reeker, the ghost story from Denmark entitled Room 205, Last House In The Woods, The Substitute and Trackman.
