A couple of central issues. Sandy falls because of his chemo meds. But he refuses to tell people he has cancer. Martin and MIndy are on his case but he is being a bit childish (though, as a cancer survivor, I get what he is doing). We also have Phoebe trying to make amends with her dead mother and her living father. It's a battle. We ultimately get to see Michael Douglas as an actor and a student who is sensational.

Despite the contrived title trying too hard to be Netflix-hip, this is a good episode with a great scene-study as Michael Douglas shows his stuff... New student Paul Reiser (his old son-in-law) asks why he isn't a star... Reiser's getting more comfortable into the series since he's not trying so hard to steal scenes... He's instead existing within the scenes, like the other actors, especially Douglas and of course Alan Arkin, who Reiser's character is deliberately replacing... As you'll learn when Season Three begins... Perhaps it was all planned after all (but it's doubtful)...

A solid episode, but the stuff with Norman's departed wife feels random and doesn't fit the tone of the program this season. I get that they want to keep a good actor in the thick of things, but it just doesn't match up with the comedic content we usually get.
