  Pee-wee Herman : That's why I'm calling. I just want to tell you that you really hurt our feelings, and we don't want to be your friends anymore.

  Pee-wee Herman : Oh, really? They must have been written on invisible paper. Ha ha!

  Cowntess : But, Pee-wee...

  Pee-wee Herman : Have a nice birthday party without us, Cowntess. Goodbye!

  [hangs up] 

• [after Reba delivers party invitations to Pee-wee, Chairry, and Magic Screen] 

  Cowntess : Moo-hoo! Am I still welcome here?

  Pee-wee Herman : Cowntess!

  [goes to meet her by the window] 

  Pee-wee Herman : Of course you're still welcome here, Cowntess. I'm sorry.

  Cowntess : Oh, Pee-wee. I'm sorry, too. I just couldn't enjoy my party knowing I'd hurt your feelings. I don't know what could've happened to your invitations.

  Pee-wee Herman : Oh, we just got them.

  [shows the Cowntess his invitation] 

  Cowntess : Oh, wonderful. I guess I should've mailed them a little earlier. Are we still friends?

  Pee-wee Herman : Absolutely. I'm sorry I yelled at you, Cowntess. I was mad, and... and I guess I just wanted you to be as hurt as I was. I'm sorry. Do you forgive me?

  Cowntess : Of course I do. If you can't forgive a friend, who can you forgive?

  Pee-wee Herman : Ha ha.

  Cowntess : Now, what do you say we get back to the barn, and get down and party. I've still got to blow out the candles on my cake, and at my age, there's a moooo-llion of them.
