Sex & Nudity

  • There are many photos and videos of the prisoners in the camp. There are many corpses as well as people who are starving or ill. Many of these are nude, but due to the condition of the bodies, we are unable for the most part, to make out any genders. However, there are a couple of times where we can see male genitals on the bodies of starved corpses, but it is not up close and we do not see a lot of detail.
  • There is one occasion where they are in a barrack and they are making a video of the resident women. In this video we see a badly starved woman who is showing bare shoulders, but when the camera zooms out we see bare breasts. I do want to make it clear though that she is badly starved and will not be an issue for most people.
  • We see couples flirt and kiss a little, but nothing else is shown.

Violence & Gore

  • Violence is not too bad, but there are a couple. Toward the beginning of the movie we do see a guard shooting at people who are off screen and we hear them scream. They are trying to prevent any prisoners from leaving with typhus resulting in the spread of the disease to neighboring villages.
  • On one occasion a man takes a man out to hang him, but he is stopped.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Tens of thousands of people have not been fed in weeks and many are dying of typhus. As they are trying to help the prisoners get better, they continue losing hundreds every day. We see photos and videos of many of these people and they have very little fat or muscle left on their bodies. The suffering that we see can be hard for some people, but it is also in the opinion of many, that everyone should see this suffering so that history will not repeat.
