Angelina Jolie considers marriage overrated

23 December 2009 5:26 AM, PST | ReelLoop.com | See recent Reel Loop news »

Will Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt ever get married? Not bloody likely since Jolie considers fidelity overrated, which is basically an excuse to go “get some” on the side.

“Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together,” says Jolie in a recent interview. “We make sure that we never restrict each other.”

Wow. How hip. How so 2010.

She added: “I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards.”

Was that a zing at Jennifer Aniston? Let’s start that rumor right here and now.

Jolie and Pitt have six younglings at home. Maddox, Pax, Zahara and the twins, Knox and Vivienna.

Jolie recently wrapped up production on her spy thriller Salt. The feature will arrive in theaters on July 23.

‘Knight & Day’ Trailer Starring Cruise & Diaz

22 December 2009 4:13 AM, PST | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

The very first trailer for 20th Century Fox’s Knight & Day, an action-comedy starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, has finally been released along with the film’s first poster from a few days back.

There hasn’t been much news surrounding this film despite its high profile cast other than its name change from “Wichita” back in October to what we now know the movie as.

Knight & Day is directed by James Mangold (Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma) off a Patrick O’Neill script. Joining Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz are Maggie Grace, Peter Sarsgaard, Paul Dano, Marc Blucas, Olivier Martinez and Viola Davis.

Here’s a brief synopsis from Variety if you are unfamiliar with Knight & Day:

“Cruise plays a man of mystery who links up with Diaz. They become fugitives, there are betrayals and shifting alliances all around them, and they must figure out whether to »

First Trailer And Photos From Ridley Scott’s ‘Robin Hood’

15 December 2009 7:00 AM, PST | The Flickcast | See recent The Flickcast news »

The Courier Mail has a gallery of photos from the new Robin Hood film, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, Mark Strong, Danny Huston and Matthew Macfadyen. The series of images focus mainly on showing Crowe on horses, either sitting idly with what appear to be his merry men, charging into battle, and a couple of Ridley Scott and his crew working.

The movie is supposedly written as a more historically accurate telling of the Robin who becomes the famous hood. Apparently we’ll be treated to visuals of battles in France, battles in England, and the beauty of Cate Blanchett all dirtied up to look authentic. But, not too dirtied up.

The casting and obviously the pedigree of the filmmakers behind this movie have me interested. The screenplay is by Brian Helgeland, who has written a number of great movies (Payback, Man on Fire), along »

Nyt Critic Manohla Dargis Shares Some Four-Letter Words for the Industry

14 December 2009 1:15 PM, PST | Rope of Silicon | See recent Rope Of Silicon news »

I have mixed feelings when it comes to New York Times critic Manohla Dargis's taste in films, but I always enjoy reading her reviews and apparently it seems I should be on the look out for more of her interviews as well as Jezebel.com has a few words from Dargis ranging from women in Hollywood, thoughts on Kathryn Bigelow and The Hurt Locker and why romantic comedies suck.

Here are some of my favorite moments with pieces cut here and there so as not to steal the entire interview (which I really wanted to do because it's quite entertaining): On director Kathryn Bigelow's success (achieved in part by getting funding outside of Hollywood): Something like a woman winning best director for directing an action movie and not a romantic comedy is symbolically important. Whether it then leads to a lot of women doing things outside of »

Angelina Jolie tops Oprah on both sexy list and Forbes’ Celebrity 100

5 December 2009 12:55 PM, PST | ReelLoop.com | See recent Reel Loop news »

Hot stuff Angelina Jolie has dethroned left-wing talk-show host Oprah Winfrey by becoming the world’s most powerful celebrity by simply having her picture taken a lot and cashing in her kids.

Though Oprah is still the biggest money-maker with $275 million, the 34-year-old Jolie captured the No.1 spot due to a combination of earning power and exposure. In the annual list presented by Forbes magazine, Jolie, whose human rights work along with a poop load of photos of her and hubby Brad Pitt, made $27 million in the past year including $14 million for a magazine deal which gave exclusive rights of the couple’s twins, Know Leaon and Vivienne Marcheline.

Joli recently completed work on her latest project, the spy film Salt.

It’s due out July 23rd.

12/5/09 Editor’s Note: The crossed out numbers were not counted for 2009’s Forbes Celebrity 100 list. They counted towards her No.3 placement in 2008. Here »

Jon Voight on Megan Fox comparisons to Angelina Jolie: Megan should do more charity work

27 November 2009 7:03 AM, PST | ReelLoop.com | See recent Reel Loop news »

Jon Voight calls bullpoop on comparisons between Megan Fox and Angelina Jolie, saying she’s not as talented as his daughter.

Voight, who is believed to have recently repaired his strained relationship with the Salt star, says Fox is nothing like his daughter.

“I don’t think she is, no. She’s one of our finest actresses. She’s gotten to that point in her career,” said Voight. “Megan is just starting out, but she has a lot of potential,” he added.

Voight has previously urged Fox, who is often compared to Angelina because of their similar looks (sexy) and love of tattoos and fornicating (sexy), to follow in Angelina’’s footsteps by undertaking charity work and to stop being a selfish dolt. “Maybe Megan will start doing the things that Angelina is so well known for. Angie is known for helping with kids and for her concern for others. »

Angelina Jolie Has Inherited Some of Jon Voight's Crazy

24 November 2009 4:00 PM, PST | Celebuzz.com | See recent Celebuzz news »

Who knew that right-wing wharggble was hereditary? Us Magazine reports that Angelina Jolie—whose father, Jon Voight, has practically made a second career out of trashing the current Leader of the Free World—has followed Dear Old Dad's footsteps right onto the anti-Barack Obama bandwagon. Says a source of the Salt actress, who also serves as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations and don't you ever forget it, "She hates [Obama]...She's into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise." Even more troubling than Jolie's lack of faith in the current Administration, »

Link Party: Angelina Jolie Gets Salty

17 November 2009 3:02 PM, PST | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Angelina Jolie looks all kinds of evil and fierce and hot on the Salt poster. • Awww, look at poor Nikki Reed trying to get some attention at the New Moon premiere by wearing a ring on her engagement finger. • Everyone loves a good Lindsay Lohan temper tantrum over not getting enough free swag, right? • Of course Taylor Swift is creating greeting cards now. She already has a couple albums full of sappy lyrics, might as well put them to use. • The signs at last night's New Moon premiere were probably the most awesome thing to come out of it. • Oh look, Kirsten Dunst is still around looking uncomfortable on the covers of magazines like »

Sexy 'Salt' Poster

17 November 2009 6:48 AM, PST | LatinoReview | See recent LatinoReview news »

JoBlo has an exclusive look at the "Salt" teaser poster. And it doesn't tell you anything about the movie at all. But, it does tell you that Angelina Jolie is starring in it, and I guess they felt that was enough. She looks sexy as all hell in the picture, but besides that, is using Jolie as the sole selling point really a good idea? I mean, yeah she's been in some action movies that have made bank, but I assure you it wasn't because of her (Examples: "Tomb Raider" is a brand name; "Mr and Mrs. Smith" was marketed as a must see summer movie from the director of Jason Bourne; "Wanted" was also marketed in the same vein). I guess we shall see.For now, just look into those eyes. She will slowly lie you down on a fluffy cloud little boy, and make you into a man. »

Angelina Jolie Gazing on New 'Salt' Poster

17 November 2009 12:14 AM, PST | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

Two weeks after the trailer was released, "Salt" unveils a new artwork as the promotional poster via Joblo. Unlike the first one that has Angelina Jolie in the middle of a crowd, this one gives a close shot to the actress with the tag "Who is Salt?". The catchphrase is actually also the address to the official site of the movie.

In the film, Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, a CIA officer who is accused as a Russian sleeper spy. She eludes capture by superiors who are convinced she is out to assassinate the president. While trying to reunite with her family, she struggles to prove someone else is the traitor.

Originally, Salt is supposed to be a male character but since Tom Cruise who was originally attached to the role was afraid that the character is too similar to his "Mission: Impossible" role, director Phillip Noyce decided to reverse the gender. »
