Sex & Nudity

  • None shown. There is a scene where a fat girl moves closer and closer to a scrawny little boy, as if she likes him, and she makes statements that suggests she wants to be in detention with him forever. He gulps nervously.

Violence & Gore

  • A man falls to his death off a building as result of a freak accident on a construction job. We later see his corpse in the E.R., though he comes back to life in later part.
  • A kid abuses an alien creature multiple times after it doesn't give him what he wants. We see him submerge its head in in a toilet, possibly intending to drown it or "teach it a lesson" and then he violently throws it into the trash, hitting it with a banana and saying he wants to stab it to death.
  • Later, the father, thinking the creature is a toy, stretches it, slams a trash can lid on it, and throws it to the ceiling. Children who are fond of animals may find the abuse scene and the scene with the father very upsetting.
  • A group of children chase the creature trying to catch it with several near misses, and then catch it and twist it. Then, two children are shown with tools such as a saw and an electric drill, trying to open up the creature. The creature is not shown during the scene -- only the children hovering over it -- but it can be upsetting to children that imagine the creature as a pet.
  • A kid is bullied throughout the film
  • A fat girl and a group of bullies fight each other in one scene, this scene is over exaggerated and is not meant to be taken seriously.

Profanity

  • One use of d*ckhead and dumbass, two uses of bullsh*t
  • Another use of dumbass is used by the father.
  • 1 name calling "fat monster".
  • Uses of milder terms, like "ass" and "damn".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Smoking in one scene.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There is a scene where bad kids bully a fat girl saying "fat monster" then she cries and runs away. When she runs it seems to be a quake happens for a second this scene is too much overwhelming.
  • There's a scene with a ghostly female figure falls from the ceiling outside their home and the child screamed. Father then investigates and finds it was actually just a ceiling lamp shade with a cloth around it. This scene may be shocking and frightening to some.
  • Scenes related to the child being told about a death, and the child's reaction to the news, may be too upsetting for some children and may linger after the movie is over.
  • The creature has a bowel movement on a child's hand, and then later shoots feces at a child with the sounds of a machine gun. It is not frightening, but may be considered disgusting.
  • Some may find the scenes where the dad and the kid eat rotten food particularly gross, as well as a kitchen cockroach infestation, while others may find it funny.
