Justice has been served to those media whores called parents that pranked America with the balloon boy saga. The two stood in front of a judge today and he ordered that the mastermind behind it all Richard Heene, serve 30 days in the slammer starting January 10, 2010.
Don’t think that’s it for him either because once those days are completed he’ll serve an extra 60 days under “work release,” which means after he leaves work he’ll have to go back to the slammer; And he’ll be on probation for 4 years And serve 100 days of community service. Jeez all that to get a dumb reality show.
Of course his wife Mayumi Heene wasn’t innocent either and for that she’ll serve 20 days in jail, get 4 years probation and have to complete 120 hours of community service.
The couple will have to write a letter of apology and promise they

The End of 2009? Whoop-doo! This year has been one hellatious shit storm from the get-go. Pregnant ladies and babies, The Great Depression Part II, pig flu, more than a handful of horrible shootings, a balloon boy, Tiger's indiscretions, and our first black president. Not to mention more dead celebrities than I can shake a stick at. Every time I turned around, some other atrocious calamity was happening right before my eyes. Making 2009 one of the most interesting years of this entire decade. According to Michael Ruppert in his film Collapse its only going to get worse before it gets better. Yes, the Teens are going to see more than half of your friends and family dead. Take account of the folks around you. By the time 2020 rears its ugly head, most of these people will be gone. Turned to dust and painful memories. My advice to you this coming New Year?

Instead of getting a trailer for Piranha 3D, as reported to be attached with this week’s release of Avatar, most people got the trailer for Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise’s upcoming action-thriller, Knight and Day. Directed by James Mangold (Walk the Line, Cop Land) and written by Patrick O’Neill, in his first produced, feature screenplay, the film is centered around Diaz and Cruise’s characters being chased around the world where “no one and nothing is what it seems – even themselves.”
The trailer was pretty funny, and looked like the 20th Century Fox film is going to feature some fantastic action including Tom Cruise crash-landing a plane to jumping from a motorcycle onto the hood of Diaz’s car. The film also features Peter Sarsgaard (Orphan and An Education), Maggie Grace (Lost, Taken), Paul Dano (There Will Be Blood) and Viola Davis (Law Abiding Citizen and Doubt). Unfortunately,

Dinner for Schmucks
Opens: July 23rd 2010
Cast: Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Zach Galifianakis, Bruce Greenwood, David Walliams
Director: Jay Roach
Summary: A renowned publisher encourages his friends to invite the most pathetic guests possible for their weekly dinner party. Just as they find the most pathetic man yet, the host is injured and ends up trapped with the man all night long.
Analysis: A remake of director Francis Veber's 1998 César award-winning "Le Diner des cons", 'Schmucks' is one of the highest profile comedies of next year with one of the strongest casts for the genre in recent memory. It also marks the return of "Austin Powers" and "Meet the Parents" helmer Jay Roach who has produced several films in recent years but hasn't directed since 2004's "Meet the Fockers".
The question now lies not in the performers or director but the material itself and whether a Gallic comedy can

Summit Entertainment Set To ‘Drive Angry’

One of two upcoming revenge projects that Nicolas Cage has on his slate – the other being The Hungry Rabbit Jumps – is the thriller, Drive Angry. The film is about a man who sets out for revenge after his daughter is killed and her baby his stolen. His ploy for revenge soon gets out of hand as, “the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway.”
As I said at the time, it sounds like the Liam Neeson thriller, Taken on wheels… Something about it must have an interesting hook, as according to The Hollywood Reporter, Summit Entertainment (who have enjoyed success lately with New Moon making serious box office bank) has picked up the North American distribution rights to Drive Angry.
The studio has set a release date of February 11th, 2011 for the revenge thriller. The deal keeps the company paired up with Cage, after the sci-fi mystery-thriller,

Clint Eastwood’s Invictus scored just under $10 million over the weekend from 2,125 locations. Opening much like Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby, the film has had solid reviews from critics. With Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon head-lining, the film might have a chance of hitting the $100 million club if it gets some awards momentum.
Disney’s The Princess and the Frog took the top spot this weekend with an estimated $25 million. The film which had been on limited release in selected cinemas has gotten great reviews and with no real competition for the next

Taken Writer Gets His Next Project

Taken really came out of nowhere. Liam Neeson has played kick-ass characters before, but his performance as Bryan Mills was probably his most kick-ass yet, and much of that can be attributed to kick-ass writing by Robert Mark Kamen, who has been responsible for kick-ass flicks like The Karate Kid and The Transporter. Now, changing gears a bit, Kamen plans to bring back the family epic.
According to Variety, CBS Films (honestly didn.t even know that was a studio) has preemptively acquired Kamen.s Vengeance, an action pitch about Italian 20-somethings that Kamen describes as .a contemporary revenge love story.. He compares the film to The Godfather, saying that it echoes that film's themes of family pride and debt.
If Kamen can write something even three quarters as good as Taken, then he may be onto something, but comparing his piece to The Godfather right out of the gate

Did you enjoy "Taken," last year's Liam Neeson-starring action flick penned by "The Transporter" creators Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen? If so, you're bound to enjoy this news.
According to Variety, Kamen is hard at work on a new film titled "Vengeance," a pitch that was recently purchased by CBS Films. "Vengeance" is described as a romantic action movie with a healthy heaping of mob-related activity — which sounds like an award-winning combination to me.
"Basically, it's a contemporary revenge love story — what happens when violence meets love," Kamen said of the story. "The main characters are 20 and Italian, and there are themes that echo films like 'The Godfather.' It's about family loyalty and how much someone owes their family and the past. It's not set in the gangster milieu but just outside it."
The premise isn't exactly ground-breaking, earth-shattering stuff — indeed, in less capable hands, it could make for a boring,

‘Taken’ Writer Out For Vengeance

Last year’s action thriller Taken starring Liam Neeson was a blast of fresh air in an increasingly stale genre. It was one and a half hours of bad people getting their arses kicked. Its no-nonsense approach, taut direction and strong lead made it an instant b-movie classic. Its writer – Robert Mark Kamen – has just sold his latest script to CBS Films. Entitled Vengeance, the writer describes it as:
“”Basically, it’s a contemporary revenge love story — what happens when violence meets love. The main characters are 20 and Italian, and there are themes that echo films like ‘The Godfather.’ It’s about family loyalty and how much someone owes their family and the past. It’s not set in the gangster milieu but just outside it.”
Sounds ace!
Kamen also announced the script for Taken 2 has been finished and it all depends on Liam Neeson’s availability next year as
