When Marko is being interrogated by Bryan, he says that Kim was a virgin, they don't deal with virgins, so they sold her to a man named St.-Clair because virgins fetch a very high price. St.-Clair deals with prostitution on a higher level. It's unclear whether St. Clair sells virgins only, or just higher quality women to wealthy clients. One featured is a Sheik who has a penchant for deflowering young girls.
There are two versions. A PG-13 version and an "Extended Cut" that was released on home media in the US. The "Extended Cut" was shown in cinemas in the UK and Australia, but cut to obtain a PG-13 rating in the US. The differences between the two can be found here.
