No. Taken is an original script by French producer Luc Besson and American screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen.

When Marko is being interrogated by Bryan, he says that Kim was a virgin, they don't deal with virgins, so they sold her to a man named St.-Clair because virgins fetch a very high price. St.-Clair deals with prostitution on a higher level. It's unclear whether St. Clair sells virgins only, or just higher quality women to wealthy clients. One featured is a Sheik who has a penchant for deflowering young girls.
