The car of Scientist Doctor John Forbes is stolen from outside a nuclear research establishment, the diamond thieves foolishly open a box containing radioactive material, and face immediate danger to their health.
This is a fine episode, with a very good storyline, one I imagine would have been quite advanced and ahead of its time for 1959. One of the best I've seen for some time. Tension, suspense and a good pace. Maguire and team have little time to track them down.
Definitely a case of when thieves fall out, you wouldn't want to be part of that team.
You can always tell with this series when writer Brian Clemens has had a hand in an episode, there is a real cleverness and sense of imagination behind this one.
Maguire once again does a great job at repeatedly shouting everything everyone says, subtlety was not this Mounty's strong point.
