An OK episode, not much happens but a good ending.
Barnabas finds Daphne in the woods and questions her. She says her carriage had broken down and was looking for help. He mentions Gerard Stiles but she says she does not know him. Desmond shows up and mentions Quentin which seems to interest Daphne. Desmond offers his help and she goes with him.
Back at Collinwood, Barnabas and Julia wonder about what Daphne knows in this time period.
In a well lit scene, Desmond and Daphne talk in a tavern. She agrees to stay at the inn.
Next morning at Collinwood, there is a good scene of Julia and Gabriel, he is shocked when he sees Quentin enter.
Later, Barnabas and Julia try to figure out their next move. Daphne sneaks in the foyer and leaves a note. After she is gone, Quentin finds it and reads it, he goes to Barnabas and Julia and angrily demands who left it.
There is an eerie dream sequence when Desmond falls asleep and the head is heard telling him "you must help me".
