Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Men are forced to strip off their clothes before entering the gas chamber. A bare buttocks is show very briefly through an open door.

Violence & Gore

A boy grazes his knee.

A man is beaten off screen. You hear his yelps and shrieks very briefly.

A very nasty and swollen black eye is seen on a young boy.

There is a rather scary and sad scene in the gas chamber. Deaths aren't shown, but it can be very terrifying to younger viewers.

(spoiler) A man describes that Jews "smell worse when they burn".

Profanity

No profanity.

A man is seen smoking at various times throughout the film. Wine is drank at meals.

The whole film has a very provocative issue and will upset most audiences regardless of age.

There is a scene where a young boy comes across his sisters dolls piled up high in a dark cellar. This imitates bodies of Holocaust victims piled in Auschwitz. For people who have seen photos of Holocaust victims and corpses, this can be rather terrifying.

The Nazis are very frightening throughout the entire movie and scream at the Jews constantly.

The scene in the gas chamber is very scary and strong. You see the men and children pushed in the chamber and the door being slammed shut. The top of the chamber is opened and Nazis wearing gas masks are seen pouring gas down a shoot. The men are seen frightened and screaming for a brief amount of time. The door to the chamber is then shown shut with silence. This is a very frightening scene and it is very disturbing for those not understanding the Holocaust.
