I can't wrap my brain around it. How can anyone who has seen 'The Wire' from which' cast was heavily borrowed to create this shameful production, rate this dross anything above 4 and dare to compound that hilarious act by typing a glorifying review.
Is it just an utter lack in good taste or maybe a twisted lack of honesty, or has the world finally gone bat shït crazy?
I mean the clues were all over the place; soap worthy screen writing, unbelievably poor drama, embarrassing errors in continuity, cheap looking visuals and last but not least, the most contrived plot turns that screamed 'How convenient!' ever to have been put to film.
I sat and watched face-palmed as the last episodes rolled over my screen and further ruined what must have been a decent idea on paper. An idea that may have worked as a film or a 3 episode (real) mini- series, but as it stands, didn't remotely offer anything worthy of being stretched out the way it was.
The only thing that was new to the genre of bank heists, was that it was carried out by professional soldiers. But everything else has been done to death so many times it wouldn't even be possible to do a post mortem on it.
This could have easily been a fairly decent distraction, but after hearing Omar mutter his half-baked poetic blabber as the top notch sniper, trying to offer a description of the situation, I knew I was in trouble. My god, how embarrassing that must have been for him.
I hope everyone involved has quietly picked up their pay checks and have already forgotten they ever got talked into participating in this. I know I have.
