Audrey is irritated in church when Richard receives several mentions, her mood is later worsened when he is tasked with providing the crib, a task she has always completed.
I grew up watching 90's Christmas comedies, so one foot in the grave, only fools and horses, birds of a feather, more outlandish, heavier comedies, this was very different.
I don't want to sound patronising, but the word I'd associate with this, is charming, it's just a charming, sweet watch.
Of course it's about the class system, with Audrey toppled by someone she still doesn't see as being worthy to be in her throne at Grantleigh.
Several funny scenes, both The Rector and Ned provided the laughs, but once again it was the scenes between Audrey and Richard, of course that were the highlight.
Marvellous Christmas viewing, 9/10.
