Tea tray troubles
Prismark1029 July 2018
It is usually Compo who does and a song and a dance but here Roy Clarke gets Seymour to sing a song while they are out in the countryside. He even gets a few bob thrown at him by a passing horseman.

Already you can see with the broadcast of the prequel series First of the Summer Wine, that Seymour talks about Compo's mother like he met her when he was a total stranger to Compo and Clegg in Uncle of the Bride.

This is a mish mash of an episode aimed to keep the stuntmen busy. The trio are going downhill on a bike together with a fir tree attached to it. Later Seymour has an idea of going downhill skiing with tea trays attached to their feet. Even for a madcap inventor it is a daft idea.

Louis Emerick makes his first appearance as the policeman in the panda car with PC Walsh who already made an appearance several years earlier.

The funniest moment is when Nora, Ivy and Glenda are gossiping in the cafe. Nora states 'tidy and unattractive is the soundest base for an unblemished reputation.' Ivy replies cattily 'got it cracked then haven't you.'
