The ongoing online feud between Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds came to a hilarious, dramatic end on Wednesday.
The two X-Men universe stars have been playful frenemies online for months but recently declared a “truce” in their internet war. In a new video where they agreed to bury the hatchet, Reynolds looked like he would come out the bigger man … that is until Jackman got the last laugh.
Reynolds and Jackman agreed to make advertisements for each others’ brands: Reynolds did one for Jackman’s Laughing Man Coffee, and Jackman created a pitch for Reynolds’s Aviation Gin — or so he claimed.

Ryan Reynolds has signed on with Lionsgate and Mandeville Films, as well as his own Maximum Effort to bring us a new action-rom-com directed by Pitch Perfect and Sisters director Jason Moore, entitled Shotgun Wedding. Reynolds is teaming back up with Lionsgate after his hit action-comedy The Hitman’s Bodyguard. Filming is scheduled to begin this summer. Here’s a little synopsis from Deadline:
“…the action rom-com will follow a couple whose extravagant destination wedding is taken over by criminals. In the process of saving their families, they rediscover why they wanted to get married in the first place. Casting is underway for the female lead and additional roles.”
That sounds like a really fun movie! Here’s what Reynolds had to say about it:
“I haven’t done a romantic comedy since The Proposal but I just fell in love with Shotgun Wedding. It’s so refreshing and surprising.

The project reunites Reynolds with Lieberman and Hoberman, who worked together on the 2009 rom-com, “The Proposal,” which co-starred Sandra Bullock.
“I haven’t done a romantic comedy since ‘The Proposal,’ but I just fell in love with ‘Shotgun Wedding,'” Reynolds said. “It’s so refreshing and surprising. I can’t wait to bring it to life with Jason, Todd, Dave, and the great team at Lionsgate.”
“Shotgun Wedding” centers on a couple whose extravagant destination wedding is hijacked by criminals. In the process of saving their families, they rediscover why they fell in love in the first place.
