Trivia:

The picture was shooting during the 19th September Coup d'etat. Nonetheless, filming only stopped for six hours. The Armoury department claim they fired the only shots in the coup.

Goofs:

Continuity: Joe shoots two men while his girlfriend isn't looking at him. Blood splatters all over his girlfriends back. The next shot of her back has hardly any blood at all.

Enjoyable with flaws

Bangkok Dangerous is enjoyable with flaws.

I liked the Bangkok scenes, although they depict Bangkok a little too dark than in reality. I think its a very sweet city, of course dense and polluted, but still cosy.

Flaws... well, in the beginning, why does the 'dispensable boy' say good bye in Russian since he is Czech?

Also cage thanks in Thai by using the female way.. kophun khaa, instead of kophun krup or however it should be spelled... no idea why American movies always do such obvious flaws.

Anyway, the story was alright, predictable of course, but still fun to watch... I guess I just like Cage as an actor overall....
