Nothing Gold Stays
hellraiser78 July 2017
This is my seventh favorite episode of the show, because it's a different kind of episode.

Other than a typical Transformers plot line which by it's nature is more of a clothes line, what really drives and makes this episode interesting about this episode is how it displays the dire consequences the war has caused.

It really juggles you on both hands, where on one hand your having fun seeing both the Autobots and Decepticons blowing each other away. But then it goes right to the other hand where we feel some shame as we see the results of the battle is causing as were seeing forests come ablaze, animals running away may'be some of them getting killed in the process, just everything getting wrecked from the sheer craziness of battle. It just goes to show that despite losses for solders on both sides it really is the innocent that pay the most.

The ending is haunting as the battle is over and the autobots have won a great victory, we then see one of the autobots say in a sad tone, "We won." and then the camera pans to the right and we see the once beautiful display of nature he enjoyed is gone forever. As Robert Frost once put it, "Nothing Gold can stay."
