  • Factual errors: In the beginning when Anwar is in Cape Town, South Africa, according to the shadows cast by the men in Anwar's party, it's about 1 pm. He makes a call to Isabella in Chicago, United States when he apologizes for not calling her earlier. Cape Town is 8 hours ahead of Chicago, it would have been pitch dark in Chicago at that time but Isabella is outside in the midday sun playing soccer with Jeremy.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Muslims never ever saying Amen after "May the peace and blessings and glory of God, the Almighty, be upon you".

  • Errors in geography: The view from Senator Hawkins' office (which is supposed to be in Washington, D.C.) shows the Los Angeles County Courthouse. From the angle, his office is on the South corner of 1st and Hill Streets. A flag pole with the California state flag flying below the US flag is also visible.

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Alan Smith, working on Capitol Hill, refers to "my guy at INS." The INS ceased to exist in 2003 with the creation of the US Department of Homeland Security Citizen Immigration Services. However, it is common for older career law enforcement and others who have regularly had contact with INS over the years to refer to CIS and ICE by the former acronym (INS).

  • Factual errors: During the scene where Abasi Fawal is watching the footage of the bombing on Al Jazerra, the news crawl in Arabic on the bottom of the TV is moving left-to-right (as it does when there is a news crawl in English). However, the crawl should move right-to-left, since Arabic is read right to left.
