According to Megatron, "They [the Constructicons] were worth the time we spent building them in these caverns" - suggesting that the Constructicons were created on Earth by Megatron and the other Decepticons. This is the first of three contradictory versions of the Constructicons' origin. The other two versions are seen in The Secret of Omega Supreme (1985) and Five Faces of Darkness: Part 4 (1986).
