Despite how much good work we accomplish, achievements we make, or how strong we are, we're only human there are times when we make mistakes, we don't always achieve what we sought out despite how hard we try, and strength sometimes tires.

This is another of my favorite episodes of the show. Yeah, the only bad thing is the fact that it's caffeine pills and not a fatal drug due to censorship issues where in the original script it was going to be speed. Pretending she's taking speed or thinking of the pills as metaphor helps.

The episode focuses on Jesse, I'll admit it was really sad seeing her in this state but it just goes to show how truly human she is; this is something that can happen to anyone and it doesn't matter how much you accomplish and achieve it's no shield toward mental and physical health problems.

Jesse has been a character I sometimes emphasize with because she the one that is the most hard working and goal oriented. And we see she is working extra hard to pass a test, her part time entertainment gig she's doing with her friends, getting into Harvard, etc. That's a lot to put on one person and we can see despite keeping a solid composure, like a really old dam there are cracks forming and leaking water.

We can easily see in a scene or two Jesse isn't totally herself. In one scene when she's talking to her friends on the advancement of their entertainment career she has a momentary outburst expressing her stress. Or even when she takes and finishes the test we see her act really hyper. Moment's like that I'll admit I was concerned about her life, hoping either she'll stop or one of the Bayside gang will.

This isn't just about not resorting to drugs but really about how hard it truly is to be a top student or just simply the top of everything. Even I feel that pressure, it's like trying to maintain a winning streak it's impossible because sooner or later it ends one way or another it ends. The thought of that is always one we dread because failure is the equivalent of death, if we fail once it means we won't get any opportunities or not amounting to anything.

It then comes down to that infamous breakdown scene. Zack of course comes to Jesse place to pick her up but as he sees she's in a bad state. He then sees that his friends suspensions were correct when he witnesses Jesse about to pop one and Zack pulls her away from them; Jesse she then breaks down and says those infamous lines "I'm so excited" and cries. Though to me what really made that scene stand out was, I really liked seeing that showing that Zack cares about his friend more than success itself; which is what any true friend should do. Really like the last moments which were touching when Zack and the rest come though for her giving her the help she needs and Jesse finally getting the one thing she's hasn't had for so long rest.

As an old saying goes, "It can be lonely at the top." which is why it always helps to have friends in case you fall.
