- Dr. Meredith Grey: You don't get to call me a whore. When I met you, I thought I had found the person that I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I was done. So all the boys, and all the bars, and all the obvious daddy issues, who cared? Because I was done. You left me. You chose Addison. I'm all glued back together now. I make no apologies for how I chose to repair what you broke. You don't get to call me a whore.
- Dr. Meredith Grey: I never should have told you about George.
- Dr. Derek Shepherd: No, it's fine. I'm glad I know about him and the vet. You really get around.
- Dr. Meredith Grey: What did you just say to me?
- Dr. Derek Shepherd: It's unforgiveable.
- Dr. Meredith Grey: I don't remember ever asking you to forgive me.
- Dr. Derek Shepherd: So was the knitting a phase? Who's next? Alex? 'Cause I here he likes to sleep around. You two have that in common.
- Dr. Meredith Grey: You don't get to call me whore. When I met you I thought I had found the person that I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I was done, so all the boys and all the bars and all the obvious daddy issues, who cared? Because I was done. You left me! You chose Addison! I'm all glued back together now. I make no apologies for how I chose to repair what you broke. You don't get to call me a whore.
- Dr. Derek Shepherd: This thing with us is finished. It's over
- Dr. Meredith Grey: Finally.
- Dr. Derek Shepherd: Yeah, it's done.
- Dr. Meredith Grey: It is done.
- Dr. Meredith Grey: Meredith talking to Derek: "... I make no apologies for how I chose to repair what you broke. You don't get to call me a whore."
- Dr. Addison Shepherd: Pity. I've got three surgeries on the board. I was gonna ask you to scrub in *but*... I guess you should stay by that pregnant lady's side all day. You see to it, Dr. Bailey?
- Dr. Miranda Bailey: Krev, go find your patient. Stevens, scrub in on Noah's patella fracture.
- Dr. Alex Karev: The She-Shepard just walks in here and pulls me off surgery?
- Dr. Miranda Bailey: You burn the She-Shepard, she burns back. Go.
- Dr. Cristina Yang: [Cristina has fallen asleep whilst she and Burke were having sex] Don't let this threaten your manhood
- Dr. Preston Burke: Oh this is not... I am very confident in my manhood, thank you very much
- Dr. Cristina Yang: Well good. You should be because, I mean... I fell asleep because I'd already finished.
- [pause]
- Dr. Cristina Yang: Twice!
- Dr. Preston Burke: [Annoyed] I hadn't finished!
- Dr. Meredith Grey: We all go through life like bulls in a china shop. A chip here, a crack there. Doing damage to ourselves. To other people. The problem is trying to figure out how to control the damage we have done. Or that's been done to us. Sometimes the damage catches us by surprise. Sometimes we think we can fix the damage. And sometimes the damage is something we can't even see.
- Dr. Meredith Grey: We're all damaged it seems. Some of us more than others. We carry the damage with us from childhood. Then, as grown-ups, we give as good as we get. Ultimately, we all do damage. And then... we set about the business of fixing... whatever we can.
