No. The Wolfman is a remake of The Wolf Man (1941), which was based on a screenplay by German-born writer Curt Siodmak. The screenplay for The Wolfman was written by American screenwriters David Self and Andrew Kevin Walker

This hasn't been revealed yet, but judging from the comments by people at test screenings it is quite gory, so expect an R rating and either a 15 or an 18 in the UK
