Daria has a ball messing with Quinn's mind (what little there is of it) and Jake makes some new friends.
planktonrules12 March 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Daria is rather cruel this episode as repeatedly she plants ideas in Quinn's mind. First, she implies that there is something wrong with Quinn as she hasn't got a single steady boyfriend like her. Second, once Quinn buys into this, Daria begins making up all kinds of rules--like they should be looking into buying his and hers funeral plots! Seeing Daria take advantage of Quinn's gullibility is a hoot.

A subplot involving Jake and his obsession with catching a squirrel goes from a minor story to taking over the entire show. Up until Helen having the two steady boyfriends over for a meal, it's just a small little side story. Oddly, however, Jake bonds very quickly with the boys and they all end up having a terrific time catching the squirrel and going on a cross-country road trip--leaving the ladies at home to lament their wayward men. This is a hilarious ending and makes you think that the shallow guys actually are a lot happier and well-adjusted! Cute and very well written--and FUN.

Quinn tries to choose one boy to be her boyfriend
Tweekums22 January 2013
Warning: Spoilers
When Helen suggests that Daria should invite Tom to join them for dinner one day she is more than a little worried that her father might do something embarrassing; this is quite likely as he seems to be obsessing about the squirrel that keeps raiding the garbage. While the talk is of Daria's boyfriend it is suggested that Quinn might want to settle down with just one boy rather than dating whoever is the most use at the time. As soon as she picks one Daria fells Quinn what relationship should involve... ideals that nobody can live up to. This leads to her dumping one boy after another. Eventually on the night Tom comes over Quinn has a boy to invite as well; although all the males present soon abandon the girls to catch the squirrel!

This was another funny episode; Jake was on top form as he ranted about the garbage being knocked over by kids only to realise it was a squirrel. Daria's mind-games with Quinn were as funny as they were cruel... i.e. very! I particularly liked the ending which saw Jake and his daughter's boyfriends leaving the girls at home and having fun on their own.

Guess who's coming to dinner
safenoe27 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Quinn is determined to find a boyfriend, and announces it to the Fashion Club. Quinn conducts interviews with prospective suitors in the pizzeria (10 in 10 minutes notes Daria).

Jake's also on the hunt of the culprits who are tipping his garbage bin at home. He realizes it's squirrels who are the culprits. But still, kids and even adults have been known to tip garbage bins for cheap thrills, as well as knocking down mailboxes on Christmas eve. Idiots.

The episode culminates in Daria and Quinn bringing their respective boyfriends to dinner to meet the parents. Jake dominates the conversation with the squirrel attack, drawing in Tom and Jesse. The three guys end up cutting short dinner to search for the squirrel.
