Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .

Sex & Nudity

There is a scene where a woman (Signe Egholm Olsen) takes off her tank top and bra after swimming in a river. The scene with her topless is about 5 minutes in length.

There is a scene in which you see Chris (Emile Hirsch) floating down a river naked. The scene is a few seconds long and shot from a significant distance.

There is scene in which you see a nudist colony. There are images of a few full-frontal naked women.

There is a brief three second scene in which you see a couple (Catherine Keener and Brian Dierker) having sex; very little is shown.

There is a scene in which an underage girl propositions Chris (Emile Hirsch) to have sex with her. He refuses. But she is seen on a bed in her underwear.

Violence & Gore

Chris (Emile Hirsch) is beaten by a railroad official for riding a train without paying. The is also an especially gory scene of Chris gutting a moose in the wild.

Profanity

There are few instances in which the f-word and s-word are used.

Chris' (Emile Hirsch) coworker tells him that "if I want vagina, then I'm going to get some."

You see people smoking throughout the movie, and there are few references to "dope smokers."

(If you still want to see movie don't read this part.Because It presents the ending... At the end of the movie you watch Chris (Emile Hirsch) die from starvation. Also there is the use of subliminal images while he is actually dying. The use of music, a scream, lighting and images is all meant to heighten the intensity. Making the death so much more profound.
