Classic comedy.

The Christmas Lunch Incident is contender for the best episode of Vicar of Dibley, it's possibly the best remembered. Who on Earth could forget a poor, well meaning Geraldine having to eat all of those lunches.

Each scene is brilliant, everyone is beautifully in character, each having Christmas dinner as you'd expect them to. You can't help but feel sick as you watch Geraldine having to eat more and more. Of course they save the best for last, as Geraldine dines with Alice.

Alice's family are of course bonkers, poor Mary is clearly mad as a box of frogs and as for the mum, another classic villager.

Just like Mary, The Spice Girls were once Virgins. That line was hilarious.

I'm not sure Christmas comedy gets much better, it even has Peter Capaldi, it's glorious, 10/10.

Very Hilarious BBC's Religious Comedy from the Year 1996

I find The Vicar Of Dibley's Christmas Special called The Christmas Lunch Incident is very Hilarious, Because the Female Vicar called Geraldine Granger has been invited to four Christmas Dinners at the village of Dibley, Oxfordshire, England, UK, The first house is Frank Pickle and Jim Trott, The second is David and Hugo Horton, The third is Alice, Mary and Mrs. Tinker and the final is Owen Newitt, Geraldine Granger has four Christmas dinners and She was stuffed, So, She went home to have a rest, Like Father Ted, The Vicar Of Dibley is a Religious based sitcom, But for this case is Angelican, I'm giving this a 10/10 and Merry Christmas.

A classic

There's a reason why this episode is so often repeated by the BBC - it's a classic.

Full of hysterical moments, this episode takes a fairy silly idea and makes it work totally.

Brilliantly written and performed, with just enough pathos too to ground proceedings, this is excellent.
