The BBC TV series "Antiques Roadshow" is a real British weekly television show in which antiques appraisers travel to various regions of the United Kingdom (and occasionally in other countries) to appraise antiques brought in by local people. It has been running since 1979, based on a 1977 documentary series. The series has spawned international versions with the same TV format, including Canada and the United States, as well as several UK spin-off variations . As of 2016 it is presented by Fiona Bruce and is in its 38th series. It is generally on for an hour on Sunday evenings at 8pm when the series is on. The Vicar of Dibley accurately portrays the fictional version of the Antiques Roadshow series as it actually was in 2005.
Originally aired on March 11 - the shared birthday of Emma Chambers (Alice) and James Fleet (Hugo).
This is the third Comic Relief special episode. Although not officially re-broadcast as part of The Vicar of Dibley series canon, it can be found on certain video streaming websites.
