unleashing Nikki Cox into teenage boys' fantasies
RavenGlamDVDCollector15 January 2017
Actually, I didn't see this on television when it aired locally. My friend saw it, knew I was into pretty actresses, and alerted me to the drop-dead stunning looker playing the part of the daughter.

It's two decades later, and for the past (almost) ten years I have been trying to find this on DVD. To cut a long story short (well known to my followers here on IMDb) I cannot get any further than some downloads of random episodes. Fortunately this one is included in that batch. This is the episode introducing us to the Malloys, a sort of mirror image of MARRIED WITH CHILDREN. 'Talking' dog Buck becomes come-to-life bunny Mr. Floppy, striking-out-with-girls genius Bud becomes striking-out-with- girls dunce Ryan, hot dumb daughter Kelly becomes hot smart cellphone- slinging daughter Tiffany. You can keep Jennie, thank you very much, she is almost as bad as Peggy.

Jack, divorcing Jennie (can't say I blame him, she's damn well the personification of the ball and chain), ends up in his bachelor flat with none of the comforts of home, except one ray of light, his hallucination of Mr. Floppy, his little boy's stuffed toy, as his talking companion. Spewing crackling commentary on then-current celebrities, and timeless political and social comment on life in general. But don't touch him, Floppy bites! He is absolutely blooming hilarious!

Of everything male on my screen, Mr. Floppy is my hero!!! Inducted into my Hall of Fame. RavenGlamDVDCollector worships Hugh Hefner, Mr. Floppy and Hank Moody of CALIFORNICATION.

Of course, it all centers around the lovely leggy Nikki Cox, she of the Raquel Welch demeanor. She plays coolly self- centered Tiffany, and gives her counterpart Christina Applegate of that other show a run for her money. Notice how she immediately trounced Ryan seconds after her very first appearance, throwing a glass of water over his butt as her revenge for him having left the toilet seat up. This is the first season, she is still in schoolgirl mode, obviously a very hot young teen (pardon my salivating)... This is just the start, wait till she hits college... (drool)...

Ryan has the solution for why chicks do not dig him. They're all lesbians, the whole lot. Explains everything!

The series comes highly recommended by me. It has a cult following. Those unimpressed by it, dismiss it flippantly. Easy for them... I am under its spell.
