The Army are on manoeuvres, and so is Audrey.

The hunt ball has arrived at Grantleigh, and with its Mistress gone, it falls on DeVere to sort it, not knowing what to do, he convinces Audrey to organise it.

Possibly a little less humorous than the first trio of episodes, this one presents as a little more bittersweet, but it isn't altogether without any laughs. I liked Brigadier Lamington, he was bonkers, and I am enjoying Audrey's squabbles with the prickly shopkeeper.

I always remember Marjorie as being incredibly meal and mild, she's far from that here, she's quite a tough cookie, and definitely presents as a rival of Richard.

The end of this episode was very revealing, I think it's now established that there is very much a bit of a spark between Richard and Audrey, this will they or won't they question was used heavily in comedies of the time.

Daphne Oxenford, who played Shopkeeper Mrs Patterson, seemed to pop up in many shows over the 80's and 90's, I always think of her as as Miss Denham in Fresh Fields. She's lovely here, another person Audrey has rubbed up the wrong way.

Maam, definitely isn't a word in its previous state, just to clarify, the little red line has appeared.

Enjoyable, 7/10.
