- Titus is in a coma after the crash at the drag race. Ken and Erin argue over if they should take Titus, who is brain dead and being kept alive by machines, off life support. Ken reveals how he got custody of Titus after his divorce.
- Conclusion. With Titus in a coma following his accident from "The Pit", Ken (who is narrating from the Neutral Space) insists that the accident was not his fault. Ken says that parents have to teach their kids everything. Ken is just happy that Titus came on National TV due to the accident and says that the publicity cannot be bad. Erin must decide whether to let Titus come out of the coma or pull the plug. Titus is brain dead, and the machines are keeping him alive. Ken wants to pull the plug, but Tommy and Dave don't. Dave says that the hospital wants to harvest Titus's organs. Ken tells Erin that pulling the plug is the right thing to do. Erin refuses to even let go to Titus's hand.
Ken and Titus made multiple pacts with each other to pull the plug if they were ever in a vegetative state. Ken makes fun of Tommy for being gay, but this time Tommy has had enough and calls Ken gay. Ken reflects in the neutral place that him calling Tommy gay probably made him suppress his homosexual tendencies. Tommy calls Ken a fat, ugly, drunk.
Ken really likes Erin. She is the only woman who broker her leg while chasing a burglar. Ken and Erin argue about this. But then one by one everyone says their goodbyes to Titus. Ken admits that he would give anything to get Titus back. Erin kisses Titus in the hope that he will wake up. Dave screams loudly in Titus's ear to wake him up. Tommy holds Titus's hand till the last moment. As the doctor takes the life support off, Titus's brain kicks back on due to the shock. Titus starts breathing on his own. The doctor says that Titus is still in a coma and still may never wake up.
Erin tells Ken that when Titus wakes up, Ken should be out of his life forever, as he wanted Titus to die. Erin says that Titus always pushes himself to get Ken's approval, which he never gets. This was the reason he got into the accident in the first place. Ken reasons that he only taught Titus how to survive, but Erin says that Ken was cruel to Titus. Erin asks Ken for one instance when Ken did something for Titus and got into trouble himself.
However, Ken remembers how he kidnapped Titus back from his grandparents when Juanita left him and hid Titus in Milwaukee. Has Titus been left with his grandparents he would be a completely different person. Ken knows that Titus taught him to be a responsible parent. Erin says Ken can stay as he was the perfect father to Titus.
Eventually Titus gains consciousness, after Dave and Tommy fight over how to take care of him while he is in a coma. Ken is very thankful to have Titus back and buys him the toy that he promises Titus when he was 5 years old.
NOTE: This episode is dedicated to Christopher Titus's father, Ken (of whom Stacey Keach's character on the show is based).
