- Then one day Kelso finds Hyde and Jackie kissing in the driveway, but they go away before Kelso can get the sliding door opened. Eric and Donna were with Kelso. Donna tries to explain to Kelso that Jackie wanted to marry Kelso, and he bailed out of town. So, Jackie found someone else. In a way, this solves Kelso's problem with Jackie. Kelso is upset that his oldest friend is the one who stabbed him in the back. His mood is further deteriorated when he finds that Fez knew and even Kitty knew that Jackie was smooching around with Hyde.
Now Michael Kelso has found out about Jackie and Hyde, he's crushed and out for vengeance - alas his attacks on friend Steven have the same sad result as always, a black eye for poor Kelso. Meanwhile Red is getting calls from prospective buyers about the Corvette. Red is very particular about whom he would sell the car to. He wants the buyer to respect the Corvette just like he does.
So, his new plan is to get Hyde to admit his affair with Jackie, by outwitting him conversationally. Hyde admits his affair instantly and when Kelso attacks, he again gets a black eye.
Kelso comes back again wanting to fight Hyde and Hyde gives him a free shot. Kelso had said that all he wants to do is to pound Hyde as hard as he can, so Hyde also hurts as bad as Kelso does at that moment. Kelso doesn't want to hit Hyde anymore as it won't change anything. Donna makes them shake hands. Hyde says that he never planned to be with Jackie, and it all happened suddenly. He apologizes to Kelso.
Meanwhile Donna tells Jackie that she also needs to settle things with Kelso as she is dating his best friend. Jackie meets Kelso and says Kelso broke up with her, and now she likes Hyde. She is not apologetic and tells Kelso to get over it.
Kitty is walking on clouds because of her pregnancy, so she invites her parents over, alcoholic Burt Sigurdson (Tom Poston) and commands-shouting Bea Sigurdson (Betty White). Eric is in charge of picking them up from the airport. The gynecologist changed her big news: she's not expecting but entering menopause; one day too late for otherwise relieved Red: his 'baby' the Corvette is already sold. Eric and Red know that Kitty is upset, but don't know what to say or what not to say, to get her to feel better. Eric suggests that Kitty should talk to Bea.
Kitty tries to talk to her own mother about menopause, but she claims that she never had it. Kitty wants Bea to talk to her and insists, but Bea simply decides to walk away from Kitty. But then Burt comes by and consoles Kitty. Burt says that Bea doesn't know how to talk to people. Red sends them back early. Kitty tells Red that she is upset since she is now no longer a woman. She really wanted to be pregnant.
Eric reads in a dictionary that menopause brings temperamental behavior, mood swings and facial hair. He concludes that Red has menopause.
