I would have imagined Bette Davis or Joanne Crawford in the leading character of this interesting study of an aged actress who faces her own sinking. I don't know the actress here, but I find her great, absolutely perfect for such a character; an alcoholic woman who tries to survive, emerge from the depth of her career. I am sure that is very realistic by all means, close to reality for many actors male and female, for movie and stage industry. This also could have been a movie, TV or large screen, perfect for example for Playhouse 90 show. I highly recommend it.
I also guess there were plenty of stories like this one, but that doesn't remove anything of the quality of this tale.
