I've been meaning to watch this series for years. As in stuck at home for a week, I put the names of random dramas in a bag, and pulled this one out, possibly not the best choice of show to be watching in 2020, with all that's happening, but here goes.
Great opening credits, and the name Terry Nation, before this has even started I just knew it was going to be terrific, and it was. Better than the later remake, this first episode shows you the initial spread, and the speed at which this virus took everybody down.
A very nice set of early characters, all pretty random, I'm certain more will appear as time goes on. You see the greed in some people, was it Nation's way of showing how greedy man is even in times of disaster? So far one thing I've not seen is a real degree of humanity.
Carolyn Seymour is terrific as Abby, was Peter Bowled better known at the time? Not sure, but a neat twist, when one falls ill, and the other appears to be a Survivor.
How cool is that tennis machine.
