Betrayed is one of the stronger episodes.
mm-3926 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Betrayed has a strong cast with Martin Sheen as the con-man/bank robber. Following the robbers trade craft make for and interesting character. The desperate female bank teller is the other strong character! Watching the teller's slow desperation is the other end of the greed spectrum. The teller is the opposite of Sheen. Keller see the bank film and notice something is wrong here, which ties in with Stone's questioning, deductive detective work. A few good plot twists and devices make for and interesting unraveling of the story. 8 stars.

Martin Sheen excellent guest star!!!

Warning: Spoilers
I agree with previous reviewers review of the character of Kate. I think it was overplayed and too not believable that she'd be so gullible that Dean was interest med in her as a girlfriend and that it was ridiculously obvious he was using her. Although I feel it was still a good watch with Martin Sheen as a guest star. An amazing actor and excellent in anything he's in. Wether it be guest star in tv or in movies! I think it deserved one more star just fir him. This story resembles the story a room with a view in that the female main character is also a bit too frumpy and being used by the criminal too and unbelievably obvious and leaves you wondering how she didn't realize she was being used.

Banker Girlfriend "Kate" is Positively Depressing!
FloridaFred20 June 2021
We have A-Lister Martin Sheen (character Dean Knox) romancing bank employee "Kate Evans" (actress Collin Wilcox Patton), obviously to get inside info on when the bank will have large amounts of cash on hand.

Ms. Patton overplays her part here. She is just too much of a downer, too depressing, too "feeling sorry for herself", desperate to marry character Dean Knox (actor Martin Sheen). "I'll be 41 years old before this year is over", she tells the real love-life character Lindsay Campbell (actress Lenore Kasdof).

Other than the bank heist that starts the show, there is not a lot of action here. We get the usual interplay between the cops (actors Karl Malden and Michael Douglas), and some great scenery shots of San Francisco. Saving that, not much excitement, just the usual drill with the police trying to find out "Who done it?".

Still, it's a watchable episode of "The Streets of San Francisco". I rate "Betrayed" 7 stars.
