Jude tries to get hold of some research material at The Cathedral Library, but is blocked, there she witnesses an incident between Canon Black and researcher Raymond Mason, who's investigating the historical death of Bishop Otterman.
A plot you could easily apply to any modern day horror, and it would work. I'm really enjoying the Canon Black character, keen to learn if he's a bad guy or not, what is he protecting?
Another deliciously dark and twisted tale, I loved the step back in time, and I've said it many times, nobody used to do historical drama like The BBC, even back in 2003, they've lost their way so much nowadays.
I randomly tried watching this during the height of the pandemic, naturally I had to stop, it somehow didn't feel right at the time. This one has more of a ghost story vibe to it.
Very nicely acted and very well produced, it looks great.
8/10.
