Hutch and Marianne hide from the two pursuers behind a door in an alley. Hutch notices that Marianne's skirt is caught in the door and gingerly pulls it through before the two guys chasing notice. But in the previous shot where the thugs arrive in the alley, the skirt caught in the door is nowhere to be seen.
A bizarre scene has Starsky driving his car slowly by the sidewalk where Huggy is sprinting, trying to keep up with him, while hanging on to the passenger window, as Starsky talks to him. It makes no sense that the cop couldn't park for a minute to talk to his informant, but instead had Huggy breathlessly jog backwards, as Starsky kept on driving. The entire scene didn't really work for it was neither realistic nor necessary: a simple phone call to the Bear would have sufficed.
The episode like most of the series is set in fictional Bay City, CA, but a Los Angeles Herald-Examiner billboard with the line "L.A. can't put it down" can be seen.
