- SG-1 has changed the course of history and made the SGC virtually non-existent. Doctors Carter and Jackson have helped Brigadier General Hammond to find the Antarctic Stargate, but are not being allowed to help any further. They help Jack to power up the time machine, and he gets Hammond to allow them on the mission to Chulak to find Teal'c.—trekkie4christ
- The trip back in time to 3000 BC has altered the timeline. In the new timeline, Daniel and Sam are nerdy scientists and O'Neill is out of the military. The Stargate was never found and the SGC does not exist. Brigadier General Hammond has come into possession of a video camera found by archaeologists in a 5,000-year-old tomb. In the video, Daniel Jackson tells the story of SG-1 from their timeline. It's now left to the alternate characters to try and make it right.—garykmcd
- In alternate-reality present, Daniel's translation and Carter's scientific input prove vital, Jack's personal bond with major Kawalski allows Hammond to recruit him to command an alternate SG-1, minus alien, who agrees to take them along on a mission back in time to fix the past to save the future. In the process, the team lands on Chulack, where they are surprise-captured and incarcerated by Jaffa. They must convince and re-recruit Teal'c and escape to Gizeh. There they find the real Daniel Jackson, who has been preparing the uprising against Ra with local leader Katep, who hides them and the (painstakingly cloaked) time-machine from Ra's guard, while Daniel and Teal'c mastermind an amended uprising to leave ancient Egypt as due when they return. Alternate-time-line O'Neill and Carter express their love.—KGF Vissers
