After the energy bolts hit the ship, La Forge says he can hold their position for only a few minutes. Moments later he tells Picard that he can't hold it any longer, yet Picard tells La Forge to hold position, and La Forge does so.
When the Enterprise flies into the vortex, La Forge is shown holding onto the console to keep from falling down, but O'Brien in the shuttle bay is shown standing straight and tall without difficulty.
At approximately 36:30, Picard leaves the bridge to go to see his duplicate in sick bay. Picard leaves first, then Troi follows a moment later. By the time Picard reaches sick bay (after a commercial break), Troi is already there.
When Geordi retrieves the navigation logs from the duplicate shuttle, he learns that the last recorded Stardate from the shuttle was 42679.5 (six hours ahead of the current Stardate 42679.2 given in the Captain's Log at the beginning). However later when the senior staff are viewing the video footage downloaded from the shuttle, it displays a Stardate of 42592.72.
As the two Picards are walking toward the shuttle bay, the future Picard is on the left and the current Picard is on the right. But in the next corridor and as they enter the shuttle bay, the current Picard is on the left and the future Picard is on the right.
In the opening scene, crew members gather as Riker cooks eggs. Dr. Pulaski brings a bottle of special ale as a gift, telling Riker that "your omelets deserve no less"; yet, moments later, when Riker serves the crew members, he clearly serves them scrambled eggs, not omelets.
However, while some cooks cooks leave the omelets cooking, then fold them and flip them only once, many cooks continuously draw the part-cooked eggs into the centre and fold them repeatedly, giving a superficial appearance a bit like scrambled eggs.
Between shots where Pulaski first injects the future Picard with two hyposprays, the medical diagnostic monitor shows Picard's life signs failing, then stabilizing, indicated by a series of arrows on the display; however, during the shot when Pulaski runs past the monitor to grab the second hypospray, the arrows are missing.
When both of the Picards are in the shuttle bay, the other Picard presses buttons on the control console causing the entire console to shake.
During the final medical bay scene between the two Picards, as the coherent Picard walks to the Picard on the bed/table, he is clearly a body double. His skin tone is paler than Patrick Stewart's, who is tanned. You can also see the gray stubble on the double's head from shaving to give the appearance of male pattern baldness.
In the high definition version, when Captain Picard's unconscious body is first taken out of Shuttle Bay 2, an extension cord painted gray can be seen going from the doors to give power to the tractor beam emitter in the center of the room.
At the end, when Captain Picard returns to the bridge to enter the vortex, the turbo lift doors bounce slightly when closed, and remain partially open for a few seconds after he exits; they then finish closing, indicating they are manually closed.
When the Picards are in the shuttle bay, Picard-B opens the shuttle bay door, revealing the vortex that is holding them. However, the warp nacelles are not visible in any of the views from the door.
Before the shuttlecraft is retrieved, no attempt is made to visually/electronically identify it. Also, no attempt is made to identify its occupant's commbadge. This would be standard procedure.
At the staff meeting the officers can see from the future shuttle's log that the Enterprise will be destroyed by a vortex-like phenomenon, which should have given them a clue as to what to expect.
In the opening scene, as Riker begins preparing the eggs, a studio light and boom mic are reflected in the computer panel behind him.
At one point, Picard-A gives Troi a direct order to remain with Picard-B. Only a moment later, after a brief discussion with Dr. Pulaski, Troi walks out.
