Quotes

  • Worf : What about Garak?

Captain Sisko : I want him back too. I suppose I don't have to tell you to keep a close eye on him.

Worf : At the first sign of betrayal I will kill him, but I promise to return the body intact.

    Captain Sisko : I assume that's a joke?

    Worf : We will see.

  • Elim Garak : Lying is a skill like any other, and if you want to maintain a level of excellence you have to practice constantly.

Worf : Practice on someone else.

Elim Garak : Mr. Worf, you're no fun at all.

    Worf : Good!

  • Elim Garak : Remember: it's not just Tain we're looking for. The Maryland, the Proxima, the Sarajevo, Starfleet ships that have been lost in the Gamma Quadrant for years; and their crews - brave soldiers, warriors of the Federation unaccounted for... We owe it to them to do everything in our power to find them and bring them home. It's the honorable thing to do.

Worf : You use that word, but you have no idea what it means.

Elim Garak : Maybe not. But you do.

  • Worf : A Klingon warrior does not have to explain why he chooses to face danger, not even to his Par'Mach'kai.

Lt. Commander Jadzia Dax : So in other words, you were afraid I'd make a scene, that I'd embarrass you, maybe even cry.

Worf : You are capable of anything.

  • Martok : [Worf and Garak have been taken to a Dominion prison camp in the Gamma Quadrant, and after seeing General Martok, one of the prisoners, fight and lose a bout with a Jem'Hadar guard, they rush over to help]  Do I know you?

Worf : I am Worf, son of Mogh.

Martok : Yes, I've heard of you.

Elim Garak : How long have you been here?

Martok : [still weak from the fight]  Two years.

Elim Garak : Aren't you Klingons supposed to kill yourselves when you're taken prisoner?

Worf : [contemptuous]  Not when there are still enemies to fight!

Martok : Or hope of escape.

  • Worf : Then you came to wish me a good death in battle.

Lt. Commander Jadzia Dax : No, I came for these.

    Worf : My Klingon operas?

Lt. Commander Jadzia Dax : Well, you won't be using them for the next few days. Somebody might as well enjoy them.

    [Worf looks troubled]

Lt. Commander Jadzia Dax : What? Is something wrong?

Worf : You have a tendency to misplace things.

Lt. Commander Jadzia Dax : And you're afraid that I might lose your precious operas?

    Worf : Yes.

Lt. Commander Jadzia Dax : It's a distinct possibility. If I were you, I'd hurry back. That is, if you want to keep your collection intact.

  • Elim Garak : Brave soldiers, warriors of the Federation, unaccounted for. We owe it to them to do everything in our power to find them and bring them home. It's the honorable thing to do.

Worf : You use that word, but you have no idea what it means.

Elim Garak : Maybe not, but you do.

  • Worf : [referring to Tain]  What is wrong with him?

    Martok : It's his heart.

Elim Garak : Really? There are many people who'd say he doesn't have one.
