Morrison gets the worst news possible. The stroke patient makes amazing progress. The heart transplant takes most of the episode. There is also some interesting circumstances involving the guy from India before his marriage. A good, but sad, offering.

I know this was just a tv show, and maybe it's just that I spent a lot of years in health care but a couple things really bothered me. The first is when Donald breaks the news to Jack. Jack, your wife is dead. Does he have no compassion? The other is the way Jack is treated when he goes to the hospital that Nina is at. I don't care how busy you are you don't act that cold to someone whose wife just passed. Also, and maybe things were different then, but even if Nina was an organ donor they should have waited until Jack was there before throwing her into surgery and yanking her organs.
I love St. Elsewhere but this episode really bothered me.
