This is my third favorite episode of the show, you could say the entire episode sort of plays out like an EC comics tale as it has that deadly twist in the end.
Really liked seeing Christopher Lee as Zandor whom is one of my favorite actors, it was interesting, and I honestly didn't expect him to be in this show. He does a good job at playing an alien of peace, also has a bit of that mysterious and eerie quality to him.
Roy Doyace whom I think is an underrated actor and of course I remember him best as Father from the TV show "Beauty and the Beast". Here he doesn't play a kind man but a total blowhole Simmons you don't like; he's a diplomat that's obviously not being very diplomatic. Simmons desperately want to get back to Earth not so much because he misses home but because he misses the power he welded there, at any cost.
There is sort of a contrast between Zandor and the diplomat, where Zandor want to come to Earth in peace to share their knowledge and expand there's to create unity among each other, which is part of what diplomacy is about. Simmons is thinking about is his selfish desires, there is one scene where he says something about his position where he has the power to do what he wants, at that moment you know he's no true diplomat but a tyrant.
The ending just like in EC comics fashion, is a dark satisfying twist which let's just say he has a world of his own.
