- Clark encounters a lab escapee named Victor, who played against Clark in the football state championship the year before in their senior years of high school. Victor explains that he was part of a fatal crash, and nearly all of his body was destroyed. However, he woke up to a body made up of cybernetic parts, mostly a machine. Victor is retrieved back to the lab despite the intentions of a sympathetic surgeon/scientist, as Lex Luthor intends to do additional studies on the scientific breakthrough. Victor also is concerned about how his former girlfriend will accept his new cybernetic state.
