I wish I could say that this pivotal episode was a must-see, but if you've stuck around this long in the series, you know that quality is not really a major strong point any more. In this episode, the sliders end up on a military base, embroiled in a murder mystery, a worldwide disaster, and a megalomaniacal base commander. It's difficult to keep this spoiler free, but significant changes happen to the show after this two part episode. Unfortunately, for most fans, this marks the end of what they consider to be watchable incarnation of Sliders. Beware the writing and acting of further episodes. The quality dropoff is significant.

Exodus alright - from quality or cogency

Warning: Spoilers
It's around here in the 3rd season that this show starts going off the rails. Beloved characters will start to leave, the stories, while always super imaginative and for pure entertainment begin to become sloppy and just...uninspired. I doubt if the producers had much control over main stars who left - but when the foursome of Quinn, Professor Arturo, Wade, and Rembrandt was broken up - the personality of the show was gone. And the silicone enhanced, boots + shorts wearing, Maggie the "soldier" character being added in? Oh BROTHER... I have wondered what leverage that woman had that got her that job... maybe compromising photographs of some of the big shots. Anyways, she added absolutely nothing to the personality mix of the four sliders, and brought nothing additional to the show, unless fake boobs counts as a plot improvement. It's beyond me how Sliders managed to squeeze out two more seasons at the new, lower, standard of production.
