THE LAST LAP AT LUXURY is possibly my favourite episode of the show yet. Lucas and a bunch of other cameoing actors (including DIE HARD's Mr Takagi) are kidnapped and held hostage beneath the sea during an important international conference. A conspiracy is involved. Scheider tears his remaining hair out while salvation comes from an unlikely source: Darwin!

What we have here is a pretty tense scenario as a terrorist who possesses an earthquake making device uses it to attack a city and leave an international conference stranded deep under the sea. lucas surprisingly takes a key role here and gets to do far more than usual, even addressing the conference before becoming key to their survival. scheider gets a fair bit of physical action, mounting a daring rescue attempt of a kind usually expected from bid budget hollywood action movies. it gives him more to do than arguing with his superiors or the latest nutcase, although he gets to meet the man behind the terror at one point.
