Little is known about Pamela Austin as she appeared in episode 1. She has not done any roles since 1980, but did once work with Elvis. She would do 3 more of these episodes. This one gets down to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band as a musical guest.
Laugh-In is getting more music of it's own. It is getting started with a song to introduce their look at the news. Don Adams guests here as this show is getting very adept at promoting other NBC series by getting cameos in of people on those shows. Get Smart definitely benefitted from this boost, along with previous appearances of Ms. Feldon. This is a more subtle form of these promos as the stars are here (Lorne Greene is another example) but they do not always reference their show. Instead, they get their face on to the air. Adams does some of tradmark comedy here.
Austin might not be a kissin cousin here, but she is quite busy though in her case she is kind of more in the background as Goldie Hawn and Joanne Worley are starting to come into their own now. One thing that kept this show on for so long was the development of these regular women and the cast of regular loonies.
