With Percy Firbank gone. Chief Inspector Tyson (Ray McAnally) is looking for Frank Marker and is not impressed that Frank is avoiding him
Tyson wants Frank to make a statement against Tarrant the man who beat him up. Frank is unsure that Tarrant brally beat him up but that Tyson might make a deal with Tarrant. He is after his boss, some kind of a crooked bookmaker.
Tyson catches Frank when he is in the pub doing a job for swanky private investigator Ron Gash.
Frank needs to do a character check on Brian Hart (John Hallam) a computer experts who has a job offer with an American company.
Frank also catches up with Joe Martins again. He got off thanks to Frank's endeavours. Joe wants to return the favour and for both of then to go after Tarrant for some compensation.
It is the third episode and there has been a shift in dynamics. Ron Gash comes to the fore as Frank is taken into questioning by Tyson.
Frank really gets on well with Hart. He is a larger than life character with a model wife but she is not a homemaker. Hart prefers not to work for the big American corporation but he has an expensive lifestyle.
Ray McAnally makes his sole appearance as Tyson. A stern and no nonsense copper who just wants to put away the bad guys. I was watching this and thought had he lived, he might have been the first choice to play Professor Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies.
