Shane Sullivan : Don't worry, Jansen's creepy, but he's not stupid. Nothing's gonna happen.

Jake Konrad : No, you better take a look at this.
[shows that he opened the statue's mouth]
Shane Sullivan : Did you break it?
Jake Konrad : No, it's really a container. For this.
[shows Shane and Vince a microchip]

[cut to Julia and Reggie]
Julia Kurtz : It's all my fault.
Reggie McDowell : Hey, come on, it's not your fault at all. You didn't know anything about it.
Julia Kurtz : Maybe, but I still can't help feeling responsible.
[cut back to Vince, Shane, and Jake]
Jake Konrad : I've never seen anything like it before.
Vince Frasca : This must be what Jansen's really after.
[the lights suddenly go out]
Vince Frasca : Whoa.
Reggie McDowell : What's happening, guys?
Shane Sullivan : Relax, it's just a fuse. I'll check it out. There's candles in the rumpus room. Come on, I need someone to hold the torch. You stay put, Jake.

Jansen : Oh, what a surprise. Hello again. What brings you two here?
Vince Frasca , Julia Kurtz : Uh...
Julia Kurtz : We're waiting for a friend.
Jansen : Oh, is that right?
Vince Frasca : Yeah, he's a security guy. He's just about to finish his shift.
Jansen : Let's not waste each other's time. You have something of mine. A small-carved dragon and I want it back.
Vince Frasca : What's so important about it?
Jansen : It has a great sentimental value. It was stolen from my apartment in Berlin.
Vince Frasca : So why not just ask for it in the first place?
Julia Kurtz : Yes. Why all the secrecy? Why breaking into my room? And why all the stuff in Berlin?
Jansen : Because I didn't know whether you were involved in the theft. I apologize.
Julia Kurtz : You scared my family when we were battling!
Jansen : I agree. It was wrong of me. I would like it back.
Julia Kurtz : It's not here. We'll bring it to your hotel.
Jansen : I can give you a ride.
Vince Frasca : No, we've got things to do first. We'll drop it off at your hotel. It's the Radisson, isn't it?
Jansen : Yes. Thank you. I appreciate your helpfulness.
Vince Frasca : Oh, and there will be a reward?
Jansen : Uh, yes, something.
Vince Frasca : Yeah, something big enough to pay for the damage you've done Julia's property? And for the anger you've caused?
Jansen : I'll see what can be arranged.
Vince Frasca : Yeah, do that. Come on.
[he and Julia leave]
Jansen : [pulls out his phone] Hello, Tori? Yes, it's Jensen. Yes, uh, look, I have a lead on a horse that's for sale and I wondered if you could meet me for a late lunch.

Reggie McDowell : Shane, Vince, where are you?
Vince Frasca : Hey, what's happening? Who was outside?
Reggie McDowell : He's been here. He's got the dragon.
Vince Frasca : Who's got the dragon?
Reggie McDowell : Jansen.
Vince Frasca : Jansen?
Julia Kurtz : No. The other guy.
Shane Sullivan : That must've been him outside!
Vince Frasca : You all right?
[Julia nods]
Reggie McDowell : It's crazy! If this thing is a fake, then why are they doing this?
Jake Konrad : It's not the dragon they're after. It's this.
Julia Kurtz : A computer chip?
Jake Konrad : Yeah, I've never seen one like it before.
Vince Frasca : Infitrine proto...
Jake Konrad : Prototype.
Shane Sullivan : I don't get it.
Jake Konrad : Well, just imagine it's some sort of super-speed microprocessor that's only just been developed. Do you have any idea how much it'd be worth?
Shane Sullivan : Good stuff, Jake! Looks like we've suckered Jansen after all!
Reggie McDowell : No, we haven't.
Jake Konrad : What?
Reggie McDowell : He's got Tori.
Jake Konrad : What?
Reggie McDowell : I'm sorry, Jake!
Jake Konrad : Well, what happens when Jansen realizes that that's not in the dragon?

Julia Kurtz : [Tori has been gone for hours and has not attempted to contact them] What if Tori didn't get the message?
Shane Sullivan : Maybe we should call the cops.
Vince Frasca : We don't know for sure if she's with Jansen. I mean, what if she really is talking to some bloke about a horse?
Reggie McDowell : Might be a good idea of you guys go check on Jake.

Julia Kurtz : [about Jansen] I still don't understand why you've been so aggressive towards him.
Vince Frasca : That guy's deeply obsessed.
Shane Sullivan : But why? He owns the thing. He's admitted he got out of line. He's even going to pay you to get it back.
Vince Frasca : And he's come a long way from Berlin to get it?
Reggie McDowell : So?
Vince Frasca : Something he reckons is worth sentimental value.
Jake Konrad : Where have you guys been? You've been off the air for half an hour.
Shane Sullivan : You're the one who's always telling us to save batteries.
Jake Konrad : Yeah, well, you could've let me know.
Reggie McDowell : Where's Tori? We've got to talk to her.
Jake Konrad : Uh, she took off into Manly.
Shane Sullivan : What for?
Jake Konrad : Said she had to meet some guy about buying a horse.
Shane Sullivan : Who?
Jake Konrad : Uh, dunno. Jenkins or someone?
Reggie McDowell : Well, was it Jenkins or Jansen?
Jake Konrad : Yeah, it could've been Jansen.
Vince Frasca : You're kidding.
Jake Konrad : What's the big deal? She'll be back by 5:00.
Vince Frasca : We got to warn her. Get on the mobile, mate.
Jake Konrad : About what?
Vince Frasca : I'll explain on the way.
[they go inside the house and Jake calls Tori]
Reggie McDowell : Better be careful. Jansen could be listening in.
Jake Konrad : It's her voicemail.
Julia Kurtz : Leave a message.
Jake Konrad : [into the phone] Hi, Mom. It's Jake. Uh, please call home as soon as you get this message. There's nothing wrong here. I just need to talk to you urgently. Bye.
[hangs up]
Shane Sullivan : What are we going to do now?
Reggie McDowell : Wait, I guess, and hope that we're wrong.
