- Police psychoanalyst Dr. Jon Holland and Detective Caitlin Doyle must solve the case of a missing boy, who according to his younger sister was eaten by the bogeyman, before whatever took him comes back for the sister.
- Young Andrew Rosman finally finds a lost toy under his bed - or does he? When he reaches for it a horrible arm seizes his arm and hauls him under the bed. His sister Jillian, struck dumb by fear, cannot tell authorities what happened. And that's very bad, because the same thing might happen to her if a detective and a psychologist can't put the pieces together in time.—CommanderBalok
- When her brother Andrew is snatched by the bogeyman hiding under his bed, little Jillian Rosman is terrified and unable to speak. The police call in a child psychologist, Dr. John Holland, who realizes getting her to speak is the key to finding out what happened to Andrew. The police suspect the children's father Gary, who is divorced from their mother, but he has an alibi. Slowly, Jillian begins to open up to Dr. Holland but he's not quite sure what to make of her story. He tries hypnosis but she repeats her story which for Holland is eerily similar to what may have happened to his own brother when they were just children. A review of missing children cases indicates an abnormally large proportion of these cases in their area and Holland is convinced there is a being of some sort at work here.—garykmcd
