There are interesting things going on here. The saga of Maggie and Joel continues. She has great respect for him and comes to realize how isolated he is--professionally. He diagnoses a rare condition but can't begin to tell laymen about it because no one kows what he is talking about. Maggie makes a move that is kind but risky. Meanwhile, in another one of his surreal jaunts, Chris is unable to shoot a huge buck and then feels he is paying for it when he is rewarded in mysterious ways. Maurice, who is on crutches, has a fire in one of the sections of his house, and in the clean up, asbestos is found everywhere, so, while it is cleaned up (a week or so) he moves in with Holling and Shelly. They really overdo it in the treatment of him and it drives him nuts. Chris explains why he is so upset. Maurice also has to figure out what to do with his orchids, which will die unless treated with great care. This episode is really about how we, as individuals, handle being out of control and having our futures figured out by others.
